Rural Heritage Fund
Rural South Lanarkshire has a wealth of built, natural and cultural heritage that is currently under utilised in terms of providing social and economic benefit to local communities.
The Rural Community Heritage Fund (RCHF) has been established to assist with the development and implementation of local natural or cultural heritage and environmental projects in socially, economically and environmentally sustainable ways.
This Fund aims to address this by providing support to assist with both project development and implementation .Support is available up to a maximum grant of £7500 for:

In addition, support up to a maximum grant of £10,000 is available to carry out works associated with the creation of heritage facilities and including:

new buildings or extension and alteration of existing buildings
-
landscaping and planting
-
footpath and access construction
-
habitat creation and/or enhancement
-
design, manufacture and installation of signage and interpretation information
-
site preparation including site investigation, demolition works, drainage or public utility service installation
-
walling and fencing
-
car park construction
-
works to improve disabled access
Building repair works in isolation will not be eligible for support unless they are part of a wider project that includes new uses for the building or the development of new services.
